Happily sedated

Didn't post for a couple of days, I've been super sick. Someday when I am healthy and have more brain functioning I'll write about my thoughts on the pros and cons of daycare. For now, I'll leave it at one major con.......the wide array of germs that come home. I have not been exposed to so much snot in my life as I have the past few months. And not just my kids snot, but my own and Patrick's. The cold that I currently have is probably the worst one I've had in awhile. My doctor felt so sorry for me that he gave me some really strong prescription for a narcotic cough suppressant with a bunch of other feel good drugs mixed in for good measure. Like the careful mother I am, I remembered to ask if any of this would pass through in my breastmilk to Alia. When told that yes it could have a sedating effect on her as well, I worried for about 5sec. until I was told it is safe, then jumped for joy thinking finally maybe she would sleep for more than 2 hours at a time (This was not to be the case, but I was so zonked that Patrick had to do some night duty). Tomorrow is my 30th birthday, and I am not sure how to feel about that. I'll try to wrap my head around it and put down some thoughts tomorrow.
